One of my 2023 goals is to…
Stop buying blank journals!!
But whyyyy? ๐ญ Pourquoi??
Maybe it’s because I have a diaper box full of blank journals underneath my bed ๐คซ
But everyone does, right? Right?? ๐๐
Have a wonderful weekend!

I mainly take notes on my iPad now, so donโt really use notepads anymore but I used to get through a lot โฆ

I’ve never had a tablet, maybe I should look into it! Yeah, it wouldn’t be an issue if I would just USE them hehe ๐

๐ I use the notes app a lot on my iPad but if you donโt write notes I guess there wouldnโt be much in that app either. It is easier, particularly if you have terrible handwriting like myself

This post gave me a good chuckle, Yari. When I was a young adult, I used to buy an expensive daily reminder/diary every year before January 1st, with the intention of using it throughout the entire new year. But I usually petered out by March. Below is my post if you want to read it. I now use a cheap spiral notebook to briefly log my dailies – weather, weight, exercise, Bible chapters read, appointments, chores completed.

Oh, that can happen to me too! Most of my journals are blank, but some I started, then just… didn’t feel like continuing. But kept buying them anyway! Hahaha

I’m guilty of this too! ๐คซ

On a good note, diaper boxes are the best storage boxes! ๐

I have so many less-than-half-full journals lying around, and I always start them and never fill them because I just donโt have much going on to write about! But thereโs something so alluring about journals and the idea of filling them with thoughts! โบ๏ธ๐

Same here! ๐ And the prettier the cover the more alluring and full of potential it is ๐คฉ

I did some “rage journaling” in actual paper journals several years ago, and then ended up burning them for fear of anyone else actually reading all the nonsense I wrote. It was cathartic, but nothing I needed to save.
Now, my journal exists as a password protected app on my phone. But I do most of my writing as drafts within the two blogs I write. So…no…actually I don’t have a diaper box full of blank journals under my bed…or any sort of box of journals at all…any more…

I’ve done something similar! Those type of journals can be so helpful, even if we don’t end up keeping them. Thanks so much for sharing and commenting your thoughts!

Did you use to have a blog and you were someone that likes Ramen and Korean drama? Somehow I’m wondering if you are that same person
