My Hardest 2023 Goal

One of my 2023 goals is to…

Stop buying blank journals!!

But whyyyy? ๐Ÿ˜ญ Pourquoi??

Maybe it’s because I have a diaper box full of blank journals underneath my bed ๐Ÿคซ

But everyone does, right? Right?? ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜…

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. This post gave me a good chuckle, Yari. When I was a young adult, I used to buy an expensive daily reminder/diary every year before January 1st, with the intention of using it throughout the entire new year. But I usually petered out by March. Below is my post if you want to read it. I now use a cheap spiral notebook to briefly log my dailies – weather, weight, exercise, Bible chapters read, appointments, chores completed.

  2. I have so many less-than-half-full journals lying around, and I always start them and never fill them because I just donโ€™t have much going on to write about! But thereโ€™s something so alluring about journals and the idea of filling them with thoughts! โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ’•

  3. I did some “rage journaling” in actual paper journals several years ago, and then ended up burning them for fear of anyone else actually reading all the nonsense I wrote. It was cathartic, but nothing I needed to save.

Now, my journal exists as a password protected app on my phone. But I do most of my writing as drafts within the two blogs I write. So…no…actually I don’t have a diaper box full of blank journals under my bed…or any sort of box of journals at all…any more…
