Here is a way to dress kawaii without spending a ton of money: Use these TWO items!
A collared shirt and a bow tie!
Ordinary vs Kawaii!
You can do it with a longer skirt. You can also do it with a darker bow, but I find that it becomes more “dark academia” than “kawaii” if you use a darker bow.
Try it with jeans!
Kawaii = Cute!
A little makeup and cute pig tails!
A smile is always kawaii 🙂
Complete the look (for free!) with kawaii makeup and hair. I just have a braid and no makeup on some of these photos because I didn’t have a lot of time, but hair and makeup certainly do complete the look! 😊
And of course you can add a little kitty accessory, some filters, and cute stickers!
There you have it! Kawaii with only the cost of a collared shirt (anywhere from $9.99 to $30) and a bow ($5.99 to $20, depending on how many you get).
