Daily Prompt: If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be and why?
The first person that comes to mind is Alanis Morissette, because I’ve been listening to one of her concerts from the late 90’s 😊 And because I’ve been wanting to write a song, too!
I actually got my sparkly red guitar because she had a similar one in a concert.

Confession time: I’m a terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE singer! I’ve taken lessons, and failed miserably at singing (in my defense, they were online lessons). I improved, but not by much.
It would be wonderful to be able to sing beautifully and effortlessly 💖 To express oneself through poetic lyrics and convey emotion through one’s voice. A song sang well can send shivers through the spine. It can cause goosebumps. It can make one want to dance, cry, praise God, or bring back memories.
I actually wouldn’t want to BE her for a day, but I would certainly love to have the ability to sing so powerfully, loudly, and freely! I would love, love, LOVE to be able to sing like Alanis Morissette, if only for a day 💖
Take care and God bless,
Yari, the ✿ Lovely Panda Mom ✿
Alanis Morrissette was my favorite back in the day.

Me too 😊 My older sister had Jagged Little Pill but I always preferred Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie ❤️❤️❤️

Now, I would like to see your sing a Korean song as you are learning Korean.
Korean pop maybe.

I’ve learned a few Korean songs, but not my own 😁 That is actually a very interesting and fun challenge!

I can’t sing either. At all. My singing voice is very bad. Some people really enjoy singing at church service, but not me. I admire people who can sing well, especially when they get that cool vibrato going.

Absolutely. I’m amazed at good singers, and after trying out lessons, even more so. It takes SO MUCH breathing and physicality that I wasn’t aware of before.

Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, or the ear in this case. I have never enjoyed her voice and when I hear ironic even for the briefest moment I cringe.
I hope this isn’t offensive, if it is please delete!

Hehehe Not at all! 😁 I can actually see why ~ her voice is definitely unique. I’m the same way with Miley Cyrus. It’s like, I know she’s hitting the right notes, but man, I really dislike her voice 😁😅

Well, I cannot sing. I got kicked out of the church choir when I was a teenager. And, I do not know who she is. I am sure she has a wonderful voice.
Blessings for a stunning day in paradise.

Aww that’s a bit rough for a teen, I’m sure. And thank you, God bless, my friend! 😊

Alanis truly does know how to sing with emotion!!! Love her voice, and her cool guitar she has in the photo alongside your cool white and red one! ❤ I, too, wish I could sing! A great voice evokes so much in us. 🥰

I’d be my husband for a day. It would be cool to be in the marriage looking from the opposite end.
